Kristin lives in Chesterfield, VA with her husband, and three children. Kristin was introduced to the special needs community when her oldest was born with Spina Bifida and a severe Arnold Chiari Malformation that limited his ability to walk and talk. After many years of focusing solely on his medical, social, and educational needs, Kristin came to work for Moms in Motion in 2018. She is delighted to be able to use her background and skills in finance to help the Moms in Motion team provide answers, support, and resources to those with disabilitiesThe Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. The ADA also makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person based on that person’s association with a person with a disability. and their caregivers. Kristin has a BS in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management with a focus on Financial Planning from Virginia Tech.
